[Ed. note – The following story was published Dec. 21, 2015. Al Shabaab is an Al Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group operating in East Africa ]

BBC

A teacher who was wounded in yesterday’s al-Shabab attack on a bus in Kenya has told the BBC’s Bashkas Jugsooday more about how Muslims saved Christians from the gunmen:

“They [the militants] told us ‘if you are a Muslim you are safe’. There were some people who were not Muslim. They hid their heads. They hid themselves in the group.

“Then some Muslim women on the bus gave their hijabs to the non-Muslim women.

“The women then looked like Muslims so they could not be identified.”

  1. Wouldn’t it have been more heroic if the Muslim women had shielded the Christian woman with their own bodies rather than help the Christians look Muslim thereby lying about who they are? In a sense denying Christ. Should the Palestinians start wearing kippah and ear locks to keep them safe from the jews? It’s like Jeremy Corbyn suggesting that in order to keep women safe from sexual harassment on trains there should be women only cars. The intent might be good but the principle is wrong.

    • All of what you say is true, at least in theory. In a real-life situation, however, where you’re surrounded by crazed murderers pointing guns at you, your first thought’s going to be survival. I honor those Muslim women who did what they did to save their Christian sisters.

  2. in occupied palestine: jews give murdered palestinians knives, guns, bombs so that they can be blamed for terror attacks.
