Palestinian Filmmaker Shows Different Side of Palestine

When we see videos shot in Palestine, usually they include scenes of violence. This one is a bit different. What Zaher Hammoudeh captures in this short video is the essence of a people who, despite years under a harsh and brutal occupation, still have not lost the capacity to love. The film is entitled “Palestine, My Love.”

  1. unable to watch video
iranian press tv, actually saw press or the first time last week, had a special about palestinians, “the strongest victim”

  2. Thank you M. Edmondson. I have discovered your blog a little while ago. I am weeping as I am watching this video. I wept reading other stories of yours here. Not really “manly” is it? Overwhelmed by a nagging feeling of guilt. I know I am a spiritual being having a human experience. But what the purpose of it if it just to be a passive conscious witness of the unfathomable cabale humanity has been submitted to?

  3. Thanks for sharing this, Richard Edmondson. I felt I recognized every scene in this video — love and care, gentility of persistence and warm Palestinian people. Life has been so hard for them every day but still, such grace! Show Donald Trump how hideous that wall is! Easy for American politicians to demonize what they don’t know and can’t imagine. Wish they could all see this.
