Palestinian Christians: Celebrating Sainthood and Facing Life Under Occupation

What do you suppose Jesus would say about the checkpoints, the walls, the soldiers–the child prisoners, the land grabs, or the home demolitions? Christians like poor, deluded John Kasich can babble aimlessly about the story of Joseph, the “values” that Israel and America supposedly share in common, all while prostrating themselves at the feet of AIPAC, but when you really come down to it there’s really only one question that’s relevant, one question that even needs to be asked: if Jesus were to come back today, who do you suppose he would side with–the occupiers or the occupied…the Jewish settlers screaming “death to the Arabs,” or the Christians of Palestine?

  1. Excellent post. I read the text and watched both videos with fascination accompanied by frustration that the “Christians” of this world, to the last man and woman of them, don’t take these lessons and condemn the Zionist purveyors of hatred, violence, persecution, theft, and the denial of the very essence of life for the collectivity of Palestinian Christians and Muslims. Yes, Jesus would be at the forefront of such a concordance of His children.
