Must be a unique human being who can get wild animals to eat out of his hand like this. Looks like snow on the ground, so probably they were hungry. According to one Facebook commenter these are European red squirrels, who tend to be remarkably tame. The birds are in the chickadee/nuthatch family. Watch them as you listen to Schubert’s piano Impromptus. I think no. 3 in B-flat major (starting at 20:21) especially captures the mood. (Hat tip Jill Rowan)
